I wanna share you some news about this and about that.

I just added 2 cover songs again to my purevolume page. Please kindly hear them and I hope you like it. Again, pardon me for the bad sound because I (still) don't afford to buy a proper mic (yayayaya...), LOL. I think I seriously need to buy one, regarding that I'll have another music project with my hubby.

Breathtaking!

That's my long-lasting impression when arrived at my office's rooftop last evening with Ria (@vonlexus). At first it was my boss who wanted to go up there taking sunset pictures with his Canon. When I told him I was about going there too last week but the rain made us cancel the plan, he then asked me to join. I then ask Pak Harris (our photographer this time, LOL) and Ria to join. Ria then asked her boss to join. So there were 5 of us :)

We couldn't help sighing in amazement everytime we take a faraway look at the paint-like scenery in front of us. I repeatedly murmuring "Subhanallah...", Allah really spoiled our eyes yesterday.

And of course, we never skipped the most important part of this unplanned joyment; memorize them to a JPG format as below ;)

When uploading these pics, I still feel like laughing hard, recalling how craaazeeeh we were yesterday evening. I was planning on this "photo shoot" early this week with Ria. From the dress code, the photographer till the spot. Actually we weren't going to have the photoshoot at Epiwalk, we were planning at somewhere nicer (much much nicer!), but then the rain started to pour down to the earth so we had to change the venue (with a very very heavy heart!). But no worries, next photoshoot will be in that place. Still a secret. Just wait LOL.

I am so thrilled and excited that Evanescence is finally having a concert here in my town Jakarta on Feb 25th! Don't ask me how much I love them (Amy Lee especially of course, lol) and don't ask me if I'm going to their concert or not because I fucking definitely will!

This song is particularly one of my faves. Pardon for the bad sound / noises, because I recorded it only with a headset. I don't afford a proper microphone I guess. Anyone could buy me one? LOL.

Hijab tutorial for formal occasions.

It's me again with the hijab tutorial video (again! lol). I just got a really chic pashmina from Zirraa Online Moeslimah Shop. It's so nice and soft (and glittery!). I guess this kind of pashmina best fits any formal occasion like wedding party, cocktail party, evening hang-out, etc.

When I was so bored to style my hijab in any kind. So I just folded each tip of the pashmina to the back of my head and safety pinned it :P

Photo session I ever done with DapurLetter for this article (2008)

Last night I and hubby fulfilled the invitation from one of the most notorious underground media - where happened to be the place we've ever contributed in for several months - named DapurLetter (DL). DL was having its 8th anniversary party last night at Mario's Place, Cikini. Starting from around 6:30 pm until almost 1:30 am, there were lots of amazing bands contributed in this event, such as Grausig, Prosatanica, Melody Maker, SBY (Social Black Yelling), Ivy, Star, and closed by beautiful jamming session between John Paul Ivan (Boomerang's ex-guitarist) and Robby Matulandi (ex-Vocalist Edane).

The saddest moment was when the ceremonial session where Aziz gave speech about the history of DL since it was born until now. His struggling through years to support underground scene without any strings attached. It made us cry in silence seeing him memorizing all of the ups and downs of DL. I personally salute this man for his dedication to underground scene.

We salute you, DapurLetter, and happy fucking 8th birthday!! \m/

Salam 'alaikum musical fellas ^^

I'm still doing some project with Gelap and as well as solo. I also in process to have some sort of music project with my husband, but I'll do one at a time. Music project with Gelap is the most priority right now.

Last night I went to sleep nearly at 1 in the midnite. I stuck in Youtube, commenting video about "Suster "Mega" Ngesot" incident that happened several days ago. Any comment? I'm sure you already have all strong - almost cruel - pranks behind your tongue ready to spit out, heheh... Well, I'm not writing here to tell either about the behavior of the security with his spry reflex or about the lack sense of humor this Mega girl has. I'm here to talk about justice and money. Yes, 2 main things this lovely country still can't put the clear lines between them.

This is justice, and this is money.

Ever witnessed one put a clear lines in between? lol

I was being tickled when reading that this SN incident is later known to have involved a mass organization, as well as the fact that Mega is the daughter of a wealthy businessman who happens to be a quite respectful person in the apartment where the incident happened.

Coincidence? Figures.

I think the world has known the chronology clearly about the kicking (ass!!) incident. Obviously, there are some raging hormones teenagers who couldn't figure out the best way to surprise their birthday friend and came out with an idea which they thought brilliant but ended up so stupidly fool and needless. Suster ngesot, in a year (almost) 2012? C'mon..

And everybody might've watched the CCTV, they could tell that what the security did was a reflex, and yes... A security must have a good spry reflex to all shocking and unpredictable situation. I must say for you who blame the security, you might wanna try putting your heart-diseased parents to this 'horror-ly funny' situation and see them die silly. Could you still laugh at that? :)

There is a word in the dictionary called COORDINATION, dudes... You wanna act crazy and silly in a public place, then you have to coordinate with the owner, at least with the security. In addition, you could probably get more help from them in setting your surprise thingy. Besides, what's so sexy bout being "she-thinks-she's-funny" with empty brain? *knock knoock*

Now let's go back to justice and money. News reported that Mega has brought this case to the court, though she previously had expressed her apology to public. But well, to ask for forgiveness and to forgive are not enough nowadays. For the sake of being a "law-abiding" citizen, she thinks this case - in which for me is just about misunderstanding caused by lack of coordination and still can be resolved amicably - is by law, a noteworthy case. That by blaming and punishing a security who has done what he must do to secure other apartment tenants (in the midnite) can be called fair.

Then let's Indonesian justice decide.

But can you believe that it can decide without any money-licking conspiracy?

Who's Pak Sunarya comparing to the wealthy loaded social butterfly named Mega Tri Pratiwi? He may just a father with no more that 2 million basic salary with a wife and 2, maybe 3 kids to feed under a so-so rented house. He may just a person who's trying at his best in doing his work to stand his feet as steady as possible in the institution he's under. Who's Pak Sunarya comparing to a beautiful hot teenage girl who might not knowing where to spend her unlimited credit card to?

Can the "Your Highness" judges of the state decide the fairest way for both of them without being licked on their lustful asses with stacks of money which are inserted inside their bulging pocket?

This is a classic story, only one simple sample which can bring wider and larger range to discuss or even debate. Freedom of speech nowadays in Indonesia has brought its people to have some kind of distorted mind to know when is the right time to discuss, and when is the right time to just act without much useless babble.

We're waiting them to draw thick lines between justice and money. Does money (still) get all the talk and knock the hammer? Guess we'll see how they work. :)

I've been making this video for the past 3 days, secretly. I didn't want my husband knows it before this video is uploaded and published.

Btw, I recorded the song "All I Need - Within Temptation" hurriedly and with lack of preparation. According to the plan, I wanted to record the song in Angga's house (Gelap's guitarist) coz he has more complete recording tools. But apparently the recording session I was doing with GELAP last week took more time than we predicted. In the end I didn't get the chance to record this song (hiks...). So pardon me for the bad sound. I recorded it with only a headset, not a mic, hahaha... whateverrr :D

Woah!

I just found this picture from John Resborn's facebook. He and his sister - Lena Resborn - has been doing their book project titled "Labour of Love and Hate" since 2009. After 3 fucking years, finally the book is soon to be released.

Btw, me and Rinsdark were being interviewed on around March 2009 for this book project, we represented our band (my ex-band now) Gelap. The book itself tells about underground music in Southeast Asia (Or maybe all Asia? Well I'm not quite sure). They were interested to interview me maybe because I'm a few of those metalhead muslimah. They asked several questions about my involvement in underground scene to my belief as muslimah and my hijab. Yesterday I have done the proof reading of my interview and I have confirmed to them that the article about me is OK to print. So cross your finger, the book might be handed to me several weeks ahead :)

Meanwhile, the pic you see above is an article written in one of the Swedish newspapers about the project. (narsis dikit ngga dosa yaaaa, hehehe). Can't wait to read their book. Must be enlightening! ^^

I intentionally took a day off from work to have a rest in the afternoon so I could be fresh to go to COB concert in the evening. Yes, it was my fucking 27th birthday (Aaaak! udah 27 aje umur gue! Dang!) and I was so happy to celebrate it with my hubby, my metalhead buddies and Henkka Seppälä's band. I got a sweet surprise from my boss. He sent me a big chocolate cake from Seven Grain to my house (Thanks, Chief! I like it ^^)

After making sure that my Rayyan will be safe with his nanny, I, Die and Irene took off from my house at 4 pm. The traffic was unbelievable! (Welcome to Jakarte yeee!), we were so worried we wouldn't be able to make it on time. But Alhamdulillah we arrived precisely when the band started to perform. We missed the two songs at the beginning (NOOOO!!!) but the rest was amazing!

Overall, I think this band could perform better than last night. Some things bothered them I guess. It's either the weather, the services from the EO or they might have jetlag or something. I bet if the stage didn't change from Senayan to Bulungan, it could affect their performance to be better too. But that didn't matter, I still could feel a tiny orgasm seeing Alexi Laiho singing and strumming his guitar with his unique guitar position (he always puts his guitar on his thigh like below pic, lol)

And a crazy thought came to me, I wanted to chase Laiho to his hotel (Ambara Hotel)!! And hell yeah we did! Hahaha... We felt like a crazy groupies but what the hell. So me, my hubby, Irene, Dipta and Irma went to Ambara hotel to have some pics of COB. But their manager was a pain in the ass! He didn't let us come in tot the bar (D'Barons) so we had to wait them out from the bar (drunk, prolly). But no, we didn't get the chance to take a pic with Laiho. But I did succeed in posing with their bassist, Henkka Seppälä. He was so damn sweet and friendly.

After talking with COB's manager about his impoliteness and improper behavior towards COB's fans (There weren't just us who chased COB to the hotel. There were LOTS of other metalheads were doing so. metal sih metal... Groupies mah jalan terooos!). The manager felt surprised bout our protest, but before he could talk any further, we had walked away from the hotel... Feeling disappointed (Kalo kata Irma, "Sakiiiit hati gua, kek ditolak cowo!") LOL :D

Being cancelled for three times, finally last Saturday I could go to Angga's place in Ciputat (sumpah bo, jauh beeeng! ga kebaca peta gue rasa mah) to have our first recording session. It was a looong journey, ladies and gents! I went out from my house in Kelapa Gading at 9 a.m and arrived at his house at 2.30 p.m! Dang! My make-up were all messy when I got there, lol.

All former Gelap's members were all there but Heri. I only got a chance to record one song but that's okay. It was turning dark outside and it's almost raining. So we decided to take off. I went home and Oewis rode me to Deptan TransJakarta stop, while Rins and Renee continued to have dinner at PoinSquare (Rins was being interviewed for Projek Mimpi's newest article). I landed home at 9.30 p.m. It was so damn tiring yet so productive as well :)

I hope our music project will go well and smooth. It's been a while since the last time I sing either on the stage or at the studio. I found a bit difficulties in bringing back the power of my voice. Needs more time *yailah secara... baru turun mesin begini* :D

The day after, my old friend (since elementary school) was getting married. We came late (selalu ya, Weeed... Kalo ngga telat ngga asik!) and lots of guests were gone by the time we arrived, hehehe... Happy wedding ya, Nuri. May God bless your new life yaa ^^

How does it feel to have thousand of faces?

You don't have to be in the awkwardness situation of feeling guilty to the one who cares for you and say "I'm sorry" because you can change your mask to something labeled "defense".

You don't have to be worried of what could have been caused by your one-track mind deceiving people over and over again with your mask labeled "tricky".

You don't have to bear any consequences for your irresponsible delinquencies by blaming other so easily with your "deceitful" tongue.

You get variety of good images from people with your fake pious smiles and fake sugar-taste words and let alone any judging. Why do they have to judge you over something bad when you wear your"sycophant" mask?

You don't need to be afraid that people would reveal your secret when "white lies" is your justification for running out of trouble.

It is too tiring seeing you run your life that way. Aren't you too?

Yesterday one of my husband's cousin was getting married with a Minangkabau descendant man. So, obviously it was a Minangkabau-themed party. Held in Departemen Agama Lapangan Banteng, I coquettishly tried the fake eyelashes that day. Haha! Yea rite, me :p

My conclusion was, "Cape ya boook kalo jadi atau pake sesuatu yang palsu!"

If it's not a worth-to-wear event, I swear I won't wear fake eyelashes just to make my eyes prettier. I agree they looked prettier, but I can't agree more that "To be beautiful is hurt" and by all means it refers to the make-up, uncomfy outfits and a pair of towering shoes.

Who bought this month's UMMI mag "Haaj special edition"? If you're the one, then you got the chance to see the proof that I do FIT in a magazine! lol.

UMMI's photographer - Mas Reza - called me and asked me if I was willing to be photographed together with my full-team family for their upcoming special edition mag. He chose me after being recommended by my hubby's cousin, Ndhaaa.

After I said yes, he came to my parents-in-law's house at Kranji, Bekasi and there we took the photo session. From 9 am - 12 pm, below the hot never ending summer climate, huff...

That's okay, though... Hope by doing the special Haaj edition, ALLOH SWT would hear our unsaid pray to be able to do the Haaj someday, Aamiin... ^^

I have lots of eyeshadow colors but several colors are left unused for a long time. So I felt like trying them out yesterday to work. Tabrak warna? yes, it was. But the hell, I always look matched-up everyday to work, even me myself felt bored to mix 'n match my outfit.

But still, to prevent the overall appearance from going off-the-track, I adjusted my outfit colors with the eyeshadow make-up

Why do many people love drama?

Why do they love seeing a woman cries out loud for letting the man she loves go and never come back? Or to see Romeo and Juliet must end that way and gave up their love in the hand of the death?

Why do they cry seeing Hachiko dies after been waiting his master at the railway station for almost a decade? Yet, those saddest moments are their faves? How come it can be like that? A pleasure in a misery? How sick are we?

You don’t choose who you like to write your story for you. You don’t pick what scenes you wanna play your role in or how deep your participation for others’ roles in life. You’re not the director of your life, you’re not even the scriptwriter. So, do those make people unconsciously unsatisfied with their own lives so they have to have another “drama-moment”?

How many people you have met are such drama queens? How many of those ‘queens’ that you even like? No one, yes? Yet, you keep watching Korea series with flood of tears and wet tissue while yelling on Twitter to #nomention “Stop being such a drama queen!”. If that’s not pathetic, can you help me finding another appropriate word for that?

Really, people… Buy a mirror, please :)

Not being here to be judgmental, but for me this life ALLAH SWT gives to us is quite a drama already. What’s funny is that sometimes people seem not having enough of drama that they’re willing to lurk for one in all life aspects they can find, either in their lives or others’.

Pitifully funny, maybe. I wish they could actually watch themselves in the screen as they’re playing the role and got laughed at themselves. Something you wouldn’t see ones admit it.

Even, most of the time people include / force others to participate to their drama. Most likely to watch, though they’ll constantly wait for their names to be called and start playing their own roles and they’ll start acting the way others are expecting. They’ll build mutual need for one another. In the end, a rope will be folded in each of everyone’s nape and hands and a pair of invisible hands will move the ropes to every angle it want.

Seriously, people are becoming puppets in their own lives and they keep saying, “I live my life and no one can take it away from me”?

Something to think about. Drama really sucks out our self-awareness and the fragile sanity isn’t it?

Frankly speaking, being a drama queen sometime helps you from being a puppet of your own :)

Sunday bloody Sunday!

Last Sunday I, my husband and my #LittleRayyan went to Mall of Indonesia to meet this cute new couple (where I happened to introduce them both, hehehe). That day was fun! My family was being spoiled so much by them. They gave Rayyan lots of presents... Really, lots of 'em!

We ate at Pizza Hut and continued to have a quality conversation over a cup of coffee at Bengawan Solo.

They're nice people and I hope everything for their best. Whatever that is and will be :)

Last Thursday I tried to wear bright color outfit to work. It's orange! Yes. Orange :D
It turned out quite scandalizing. Many guys at work felt surprised for this outfit - in positive way of course. I thought they maybe were bored with my all-black outfit everyday.

It turned out surprisingly good as well in my opinion. Never thought orange would bring out positive aura to my mood that day, lol.

So, did I look fresher than UC1000 already? :D

I used to love blue color back then when I was a teen. My closet was full of blue dress, skirts, pants and blue accessories. Then I started to fall in love with Black since I was in the 3rd grade of hi-school. I changed my closet theme to "black forever", lol.

Until now, I never leave black as my true color. But blue is true as well, at least for me. And when I appear bluish, it always boosts my mood up somehow.

Yet, black never failed me and my confidence either. So how about mix 'em up a bit?

I finally come (again) with the next tutorial video for hijab style. I bought this hijab yesterday. I like it so much and the price is so affordable. Apparently there's a tiny torn on the scarf that was missed by my eyes. But I guess it's okay, it's rather cheap anyway. Won't lose that much because I love this scarf :p

Anyway, I came up - surprisingly - with three different styles, it was like just popping out of my head when seeing the scarf.

[Repost] Ceremai Mountain Adventure!!

This is also the re-post of my Multiply entry. Ceremai hiking is the most thrilling experience for us. First, it was just the four of us. 3 of us are amateur climbers, only Dony who's the expert. Secondly, we chose the longest track which is Palutungan, Kuningan. With consideration that there are girls in the team and Sisca has asthma. If we went through Linggarjati track, I don't think we would be able to do it. The track is too steep.

Anyway, regarding that Palutungan track is often the least track people would pick to go uphill, so we only met very few climbers here. I mean really... Very few! If in Gede mountain you will meet people every five minutes in your way, but in here human is rare, and so does water, *sighs*

We have to bring our own water stock. It's twice even third times harder to climb this mountain than in Gede mountain. We were lost in the woods which turned out it was used to be a river, and now the river was already dry. The river stones there are extremely huge and we started to afraid to meet the wild boar. So we got back to the first track. We had lost for more than 4 hours without moving any forward. Right before we thought to go back to the vilage, Dony came up with a brilliant idea,

"Find the road which has lots of trashes. By that we can know if people ever went through that way!". So we started to find the trash (this time, we thank you guys who like to throw the trashes all over the place, lol) and Alhamdulillah we could find the right road and continued our adventurous trip.

The first night at the mountain was not the best night. First, we ran out of fresh water. Then we broke down our tent. Then we forgot to clean up our dinner so the remaining food had provoked a wild boar and a wild weasel to visit our tent (O my God I still can recall the sound of that wild boar sniffing our tent!). It was... well, stupid! hahaha... Thank God the wild boar didn't do any harmful thing to us.

Right before our fresh water has gone, we met some climbers on their way down to the village, and Alhamdulillah they still had some fresh water stock so they gave all of their stock to us, "It's so dry in here. You won't get any fresh water anymore except on the 8th post; Goa Wallet. Stay safe and close!" said one of the climbers. (makasih ya mas, bae banget! Gw udah hampir mati kekeringan disanaa!).

At forever last, finally we made up to Goa Wallet. We built our tent there and started to collect water from the stalactite of the cave. The wind up there was so freezing and dry at the same time. Not the kind of wind that's friendly to our healthiness. So we decided to stayed over the night there, inside the cave. It was spooky and fun at the same time. I loooove it ^^

We went down to the village on the third day, we ran so fast and arrived at the village after 5 -6 hours of running. Just got 1 bottle of water left for the four of us, so we had to be in the river before night. Alhamdulillah we could arrive at the village around 4 pm and went back to our friend's house to rest. I got a present from that mountain; a pair of super sore legs and arms. Nice! :p

I'm re-posting my Multiply entry about my experience in hiking Mount Gede in 2004. I was still in the second year of college. It was FUN, a blasting fun! I have been in love to the nature for forever and that year I finally could realize my dream to go hiking and reach the peak. Yes I did :)

It was 8 of us; 3 girls and 5 boys. We hiked from Cibodas track (I swear 'tanjakan setan' was the best track ever!) and we went down the mountain through Gunung Putri track. To go up we need almost a day. To go down? Only 3 hours (We ran like bunch of cheetahs! lol)

At the top of the mountain, I was praying Subuh and suddenly I cried. Hiking helps me realize how small I am in ALLAH's eyes. How beautiful HIS creation is it made me fall in love to the nature more and more.

I love hiking, and I kinda miss doing that now :( I hope someday I could do it again, before 30. Aamiin :)

Exactly one week ago, my company held the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at Shangri La hotel. I, again, had to help there to be in charge during the meeting.

What's special is that our dress code outfit. Yes, it's yellow, people. yellow! lol. But thank God it's still a solid color instead of dusty. I don't know why but I dislike dusty colors. It doesn't match my personality. But solid colors do. So yellow? Yea, that would be fine :)

Happy Idul Fitri sinners!

Wow! Haven't been fasting again for 2 years because I was pregnant 2 years ago & the a year after I was still exclusively breastfeeding Little Rayyan makes this month's Ramadhan is a bit of a burden to bear. But Alhamdulillah, by Allah's will I could pass it :)

What was interesting is that my husband decided not to do fasting this year although he still joined me in the saur time. He follows the 3-mile safar Sunnah from Rasulullah. He paid the Fidyah and will pay the debts on weekend when he won't go anywhere far from home. Frankly speaking I still can't fully believe the 3-mile safar. There are still lots of discussion about it. I know it's Rasulullah SAW's sunnah and we - as his followers - should do what he once did. I just want to really figure out is the 3-mile safar really CANNOT be adjusted for human with their recent way of living; the technology. But even we know that Rasulullah SAW already knew about the globalization era that will appear after his time. I guess I have to dig deeper about the law from the trusted sources. InshaAllah (pray for me) I will follow my husband in the next Ramadhan, by Allah's will :)
